Sherry Menchaca Obituary
Sherry J. Menchaca, 64, passed away June 18, 2011 in Galveston, TX. She was a loving wife, mom, grammy, honey, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Ismael "Bay" Menchaca; daughter, Amanda Matranga; son, Andrew Richardson; stepchildren: Bobby Cummings, Lance Menchaca, Gina Lusk, Shea Menchaca; 12 precious grandchildren; along with a host of other loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 20th from 6-9pm with a service beginning at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 21st at 10am. Both visitation and services will be held at Primera Iglesia Asamblea de Dios: 3402 Runnels, Houston, TX 77003. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her church of worship: Primera Iglesia Asamblea de Dios.

We love you so much Honey, we can't say that enough and we can't say thank you enough. You were such a great mom and grandma! We will miss you, your smile, your laughter, and all of the happiness you brought when we would visit you at Menchaca's and at Tiki. We were so sorry to hear about the loss of Sherry. She was a wonderful person and we are so glad we were able to get to know you'll through Betty and Gary Evans. Dear Bay and family,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your wife Sherry. My prayer for you and your family is that God will wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you. I know how much you loved her and remember all the sweet things you would say about her back when you were still working at the Greenspoint shop. Amanda and family, I am very sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother, wife and friend. Sherry was such a fun, bright person with such an infectious personality. She was a real spitfire who could run circles around most people. I know you guys will miss her dearly. Amanda and Andrew and family. I must say I shed tearful sorrow with your Mother passing away. So many memories. Sherry believed in me when I came into the shop looking for a job in 1976 in Clear Lake. That was before Hair Innovation. Then when I found out you and Cindy were going to be in the same class Charles and I were so delighted. We worked side by side for a number of years and I will never forgot those days. It's hard to put in words what Sherry did for so many,she loved her family as much life itself. She was Bay beautiful flower that made him glow everyday! Sherry is still alive in all us we are blesst with memories of her:)

There are very few people in this world that I have met who possess such an internal light as bright as Sherry. She shines on elsewhere now and I am a better person for having known her. I
will miss her dearly. My heart goes out to Bay and the rest of the family as I have no words that can bring them comfort now. All I can say is that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am still in disbelief that Sherry has passed on. Our life was so much better with her in it. We will miss her at our family events- she was always there for all of us - she took care of things and never had anything bad to say about anyone.
