Not sure what to say?

When ever I come to usa I really remember his hospitality the humane brain power and the extra mile he went towards helping tsunami victims in sri lanka in 2024 he was a great friend to me who is not at all replaceble leaving s major void He would have been delighted to hear both my son and daughters are in the USA working as doctors in NY he made USA proud

I read Dr. Nuland's book, "How We Die," about 20 years ago, and it was the first--and only--book that I ever read that I went back to page 1 and immediately read again. I am now reading it for the 4th time, and am as mesmerized as I was the first time I read it. I decided to Google Dr. Nuland's name and was sad to hear that he had died in 2014. My condolences to his family and friends who must still be missing him, indeed who will always miss him. I am grateful for having known this...

The love and grace of Dr Nuland continues on. I have just finished his book and have a new sense of peace and understanding-as I try to accept a poor diagnosis. My gratitude and my prayers to the Nuland family.

For someone so curious, probing, and full of kindness and wonder, I agree with Doug's wish -- that the mysteries of his final journey be fulfilling and beautiful. He was a remarkable person. He helped so many people and knowing him personally and through his writing enriched my world.

MAY GOD BE WITH YOU HE HAS SAID"I-I MYSELF AM THE ONE THAT IS COMFORTING YOU PEOPLE."isa.51:12...d

I am so, so sorry for your loss. Back in the late 1970s Dr. Nuland wore a gold chain around his tie--he took it off one day so that I could make a tracing of it and make a similar one for my Father. He was gentle and seemed to always be smiling. So, so sorry.
