Not sure what to say?

I shall miss you, my dear friend. Lila and I have so many wonderful memories of you. Our prayers are with your family.

So sorry to hear that Shig has passed. He was an amazing and loving father figure to me growing up. I will always remember his warm smile and awesome breakfasts!

Joi ~ Sending Love, Light and Peace to you and your family through this difficult time. Thank you for allowing me to spend some time with you today and for sharing your memories and pictures. :)

Your Dad is Amazing! I have never met him in person, but have been fortunate to be friends and work with his sons Andy and Jon. You can tell what great parents they have from the way they conduct their lives. Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing some insights into his life.

Dear Family of Dr. Shig,
My heart & prayers are with you over the loss of your dear father.
He was a dear friend & it was an honor to know him. Fondly, Greg Korologos

Andy,Your family has lost a great man who I remember so well from the days when you and Brooke played HH Hockey. But, my fondest memory was the luncheon our families shared when you and Brooke graduated from the "U". Having our very different W.W.II fathers present, sharing their memories, was priceless...

Joi, thank you for sharing these beautiful memories of your dad. We are so sorry for your loss and wish we could have known him. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Andy, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad, I'm thinking of you, Take care. Gygi Olsen

My family was lucky to have Dr. Matsukawa as our talented optometrist for many years. He was a great man who served our country in World War II. He will be missed by many. He was smart and witty, and was always concerned for the well being of everyone.
