Shirah Neiman

While in law school in 1975 I clerked with the U.S. Attorney Office for the Southern District of New York, and was assigned to Shirah Neiman. She was one of the smartest and toughest women I've ever known - a true mentor. I'm one her clerks who went on to work for the Wisconsin Department of Justice as an assistant attorney general, public intervenor, and Director of the Environmental Protection Unit.
