We worked side by side with Shirley in the Hope Valley Congregation. We were very new and she set such a good example in endurance. We left the area, came back years later, and found Shirley still setting a good example, proving faithful despite so many ups and downs in her life. She was always pleasant, always a smile, never a negative word. Even in the years prior to her health deteriorating, she plugged along.
