My heartfelt sympathies to the family. Proverbs 17:17 tells us that "A true companion is loving all the time and...is born for when there is distress." In times of such sorrow, the love and support of friends can help carry you through. May their comfort help sustain you during this difficult time.

We worked side by side with Shirley in the Hope Valley Congregation. We were very new and she set such a good example in endurance. We left the area, came back years later, and found Shirley still setting a good example, proving faithful despite so many ups and downs in her life. She was always pleasant, always a smile, never a negative word. Even in the years prior to her health deteriorating, she plugged along. All our fondest memories from Hope Valley involve our days with Shirley in the ministry. We will now look forward to the day she comes back, with all her flair and talent. Our best to Dawn, Denita and Dane, better days are just ahead.
