Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Shirley. I had been trying to reach her but couldn't find where she was. Rise I loved your mom and we spent some good times together... So sorry for ur loss and mine. pat Pickard

My sincere condolences. I have thought of her often over the years and my time in the choir at Stephen F. Austin. Mrs. Atkins was a very special person. May she R.I.P.

Shirley was such a wonderful person who touched so many lives in such a positive way. She especially inspired young people with a love of music and performing. I always remember her kindness, pleasant smile and courage. Rise is a shinning example of her influence on youth. I would like to have Rise's mailing address if possible. With deepest sympathy, Margaret McAllen

My condolences to the Atkins family. I have many fond memories of Ms. Atkins from my childhood spent at the Tower Theater--the Sound of Music, Charlie Brown, Oliver and so many more. Ms. Atkins inspired a lifelong love of singing and musicals. Thank you for being a light in this world. Your legacy will live on in the lives of so many hearts that you touched. Cheers to a life well lived!

Rise - Ron told me about your mother's passing. So sorry to hear of this. She was one special lady. I will always remember her devotion to the Tower Theater and the special plays she directed, and so glad that you are carrying on with this great entertainment for Weslaco. I hope you find comfort in knowing your mother lived a long life, and will continue to live on in your heart and in your memories. With deep sympathy.

Rise, your mom will always occupy a very special place in my heart. You and her could always make me laugh. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Rise, I am deeply saddened to learn of Shirley's passing, she will be deeply missed. Please accept my most sincere condolences and know that my heart and prayers are with you and your family during this time. As a child, I had the pleasuring of learning from Shirley back during the Tower Theater's production of The Wizard of Oz, many years ago. Shirley was a beautiful woman, inside and out and I still remember her passion for music to this day.
