Not sure what to say?

To Cyril and the Edwards family: Cyril, I am so sorry for your loss, and for your family's loss as well. I didn't know until Francis told me that you had lost such an important part of your life. Please accept my sincerest condolences, and know that my thoughts are with you....

To Shirley Edwards' family

What an awesome lady! Shirley was a pillar of compassion and hope for many in the community. She will be greatly missed.

Shirley's passing is a loss to many of us. Shirley gave me my first job at Headstart in 1974. She gave me my first job promotion ever, a position she and the Lord created, called Co-teachers. I have learned so much from her. She always told me to strive to be the best I could be no matter what I endeavored to do in child care and education. Shirley was buried the same day and time as my Mother in Riverside Cemetery. They may even be a few feet away from each other. My prayers are with her...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. May your memories bring you comfort.

Love from all of us,

Yvette, Ya'el and Brandon

Losing someone who has been a part of your life for so many years must be very difficult. May it help to ease the hurt you feel now to know that others care and are thinking of you at this sad time. With sympathy and caring your cousins in Florida love you all.

Delois, Ollive and Family, (Florida)

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Miss Shirley for a few years. Not very well, but well enough to know that she was an awesome and dynamic lady. She was always quick to offer me a hug whenever I saw her. God has removed one of His angels from our midst. She will be missed by many people, certainly I will miss her.

Zane,
I am sad to hear about the death of your mother. I am always mindful of her deep compassion for making neighborhoods better. There is no doubt that this is a significant loss for the city of Rochester. Please know I will be praying for you and your family. Regards, Norman L. Roberts

To the family of Mrs. Shirley Edwards: Shirley and I worked together at Action for a Better Community under Mr. James McCullough many many years ago. It was such a delight to work with you in serving the community. You will be greatly missed in the Rochester Community. Our prayers are with your entire family.
