Mrs. Kaczala was an amazing next-door neighbor and friend. She was loved by all and the "block" would not have been the same without her kindness and wonderful sense of humor! Shirley has been my friend since 5th grade when she moved with her family to Northbrook, IL. We attended high school together and some time at Lawrence College. We have lived states apart for decades but had a a thriving telephone relationship and remained close! I will miss her more than I can express.
