Not sure what to say?

Couldn't have had a better friend! And since 5th grade in Northbrook, IL... time at Glenbrook North High School and Lawrence College in Appleton, WI...wonderful, fond memories

A special friend since middle school in Northbrook, IL.
Had weekly long distance phone calls up until her passing. Miss her tons!!!

A very special person who I remember often as she was a formative part of my learning to be an adult. Her good humor, bright, positive outlook and unshakeable optimision have stayed with me over the sixty five plus years from when we first met. Rest in well deserved peace, Shirl, surrounded by the love of the remnant.

My friend for so many yrs., and we always kept in touch across the miles...treasured our phone calls which tended to go on! and we could laugh together..such a plus!

The anniversary of your passing on conjures such sweet memories of a life well lived, filled with joy and love shared. I can hear your laugh, see your smile and bask in the warmth you are shining on us, secure in the knowledge you are at peace. Much love still in my heart for you Shirl.

Wonderful memories of a friendship since 5th grade when Shirl moved to Northbrook with her family, then Glenbrook Hight School followed by some time at Lawrence U. in Appleton, Wi WE never lost touch over the years and enjoyed long phone conversations. God bless you and keep you, my friend.

Mrs. Kaczala was an amazing next-door neighbor and friend. She was loved by all and the "block" would not have been the same without her kindness and wonderful sense of humor! She will be missed and remembered always. Sharon, Kari, and families, you have our deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom and grandma.

Shirley has been my friend since 5th grade when she moved with her family to Northbrook, IL. We attended high school together and some time at Lawrence College. We have lived states apart for decades but had a a thriving telephone relationship and remained close! I will miss her more than I can express.

Thoughts and prayers with all of you. God bless the Ellery Family.
