You father taught me lessons in the few short visits we had. The first was when he and Aunt Celia came for Sandy's Bar Mitzvah. Several times I noticed them holding hands, and I didn't know adults showed affection in front of others.

Great Uncle Davey was my Grandfather's youngest brother and I remember his many visits and how much love and respect all the brothers had for each other. It was endearing to know I came from a family who cherished each other. It is this great love which has inspired me all my life to remain close with aunts and uncles and cousins. To my cousins,
I was only a tiny child but I remember Uncle Davey in his khaki uniform when he came to stay with us for a while after he came home from the war. I always loved his great warm smile which was never seemed to leave him.
May his memory always be a comfort to all who knew him.
