I was in Mr. Kiemle's home room class at Garfield. I also took Biology from him. He was a nice man and a great teacher. He really made the world a better place.

I attended Garfield and took Biology from Mr. Kiemle in the '60's. I never knew anything else about his life until reading his obituary but always admired him in high school. He had this odd semi-smirk that made me think that nothing was getting past him. No matter how smart I thought I was he was on to me.....and I admired him for that.
I wasn't a model student and I didn't make it easy for teachers to like me. I doubt that Mr. Kiemle thought much of me as a student but he never...
