Not sure what to say?

I can't believe it was 2016. I have fond memories of the music programs at Church under his direction. Mike frequently shares memories with him, when the River Boat celebrations were taking place. Riding the little motorboat to the big steamboats. We will cherish for years to come.

Absolutely amazing man and instructor. Learned so much from Dr. Anderson and will always cherish the time spent in his classes.

Learned so much from Dr. Anderson I can't even begin to understand where I'd be without his tutelage. A great friend and mentor.

Still often think of Dr. Anderson and the inspiration he shared with me so long ago. A bright light in room full of darkness.

I teach futures teachers. Dr. Anderson and the way he held 500 students in the palm of his hand in Wilson auditorium for Music Appreciation class is a reason I became a teacher. I somehow try to bring across to my students what I learned from Dr. Anderson; It's all about the passion for the subject! He opened my ears to so many different kinds of music, all with a that big smile and twinkling eyes. Thank you, Sir, and Rest In Peace, with music.

the Anderson clan has brought music to the world in church, theatre, and many other places, God speed, Simon and we'll sing and make music in heaven when we all get there. Your second cousins, Tom and Jolene Ross

Dr. Simon Anderson was my brother. He is everything all you wonderful friends have posted here..I was his baby sister, guess what, He spoiled me..Thank's Brother. He is and will be dearly missed. Now is with our parents, sister and brother..May they all enjoy the rewards of Heaven together..

Dr. Anderson was one of those seminal teachers for me. Even though I only took one of his classes, it was a perfect example of being given a perfect piece of knowledge delivered at exactly the right moment. To this day some of those precious things he said serve as guideposts to doing my work as a musician who serves other musicians. Very sorry to hear of his passing but the best parts of him live on in the thousands of lives he touched!
