SOLOMON M. "SOL" YAS

YAS, Solomon M. "Sol" Of Easton, MA, formerly of Brookline and Sharon, passed away peacefully, on May 23, 2025, at age 84, surrounded by family. Born in Montreal to Julius and Anna Yas. Sol was the cherished husband of Susan Yas for 59 years; a devoted father to David, Matthew and Adam (Jaime); and a loving grandfather to Adrian, Griffin, Roxi, Luke and Zoe. He also leaves behind Anne Yas and Nikki Yas Poritzky; as well as brother, Kenneth (Sherry); and nieces, Jessica and Alyssa. He was predeceased by brother, James; and is fondly remembered by James's children, Jeff and Joanna. Sol graduated from Brookline High, UMass Amherst and Boston College (MBA). He built a career in business and later pursued his passion for baseball, forming a bond with Hall of Famer Duke Snider and serving as Deputy Commissioner of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Sol gave his family summers on Cape Cod and magical trips to Disney. He raised funds for autism in honor of his grandson, Adrian. Sol was loyal, kind and forever generous.
