Sonya, you touched my life with the smile you gave when greeting me. You inspire me to be that light you ARE for so many. You live on in my heart, on roller skates.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I will remember your kindness and your sweet nature. I'm sure you will delight all in heaven as much as you did those of us on Earth. Rest in peace, dear Lady.

Born June 13, 1927, Sonya, daughter of Sam and Jennie, grew up in Berkeley, IL. A skilled seamstress and writer, She attended the University of Illinois where she met and married Norman Brim in August 1948. Sonya is survived by her husband, Norman; children Judy, Marty, and Nancy; son-in-law Isaac; and grandson, Coby. Additionally, she leaves behind scores of loving friends her years in Illinois, New York, and, since 1962, Phoenix. Sonya was a dedicated early elementary school teacher;...
