The Doorways serves as a hospitality house for patients, family/friends/caregivers and has relationships with hospitals not only in the state but accommodates those in need who've been referred from elsewhere for treatment at VCU. Sonnie's love and precious friendship will always be remembered and cherished by me. She will forever remain in my heart and I am privileged enough to have had her in my life in many capacities. She treated me as a bonus daughter, she was a protective confidant, a generous soul whose warmth, love and compassion had no bounds.
