Not sure what to say?

Nick, Valerie and Bill,

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Not sure if you remember me, but Bill and I were playmates when we were kids and Valerie taught my sisters, Marie (deceased) and Marilyn piano lessons.
I remember Mrs. Kontras as one of the most gentle and kind persons I'd ever met.
My heartfelt condolences to each of you.

Dan Moody, Sonoma, CA

To Nick, Valerie, William, and Kontras family,

I cherish the times and experience as a teenager having had your Mother as our wonderful church choir director in the mid 60's. My brother, Anthony, a few days ago sent me a group picture of our church choir...sincerely touched my soul to see all of us again. Sincere thanks to all our Mothers who relentlessly gave their time to make sure we had the opportunity to experience our orthodox religion through choirs, clubs, alter duty, church...

To Nick, Valerie, and Billy, I extend my deepest sympathy to you and to your families. I will always be grateful for the life of your mother, a wonderful aunt who has given me such fond memories of home made date nut bars, Lake Erie fishing trips, and that beautiful smile as she always took a sincere interest in me as a young person. Her memory will always be treasured.

With love,

Jim Kartsimas

To the Kontras Family, I send my love and note my sadness at the news of Sophia's passing. She was a wonderful church choir director, mother of three smart West High grads, a friend to my parents and a sweet, gentle lady I will always fondly remember. May her memory be immortal.

Luke, Ashley, and the Kontras family:
Pleae accept my sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bill and family,
So sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences.

Dear Valerie and Kontras family:
We were sorry to read of your mother's passing in the Dispatch. We pray that the life long memories that you shared will comfort your hearts during time.

Sincerely,
Markette (Holmes) Hatch
Former West High School mate
