Not sure what to say?

Sophie, you were a wonderful example of kindness and generosity to all. We moved the iris you gave us from Warson Woods to Emporia, KS, and think you when it blooms.

Our family had the pleasure of being neighbors of Sophie´s for 25 years and we always enjoyed visiting with Sophie and Becky when they came to tend their garden. She was a lovely, kind person and will be greatly missed.

We worked together on the Botanical Garden Answer Service and shared plants. She was a joy to be with and I will always cherish our times together. Sophie passed her knowledge on to her daughter who cared for our plants when we were out of town. Angie Menard

Sophie was a truly gentle soul who just radiated kindness, intelligence and humor. She left a lasting effect on all of us who knew her through gardening circles. She was a wonderful gardener who freely shared her amazing knowledge, and whose skills at artistic flower arranging were in a class by herself.

Much Love and many blessings to you on your journey home Soph. We will miss you.

I loved Sophie , what a wonderful lady with a winning smile that warmed your heart , she made everyone feel like they were special , but she was the one that was special , and always will be in our hearts , we all miss her .

Sophie had a genuine warmth and caring about her in all she did. She was an artful floral arranger, and a fun and kind conversationalist. She will be missed by many in the Webster Groves Herb Society.

I´m sorry for your loss. I didn´t know Sophie well only from attending ECD meetings with her. I´m the ECD treasurer. She will be missed

Sophie worked with me when I was teaching second grade in Holy Redeemer PSR, and she gave me a small volume of the English translation of short poems based on the biblical story of Noah´s ark. I still have it, and I used it when teaching fourth grade in another parish school. It was a wonderful way to encourage students to use clues in the poem to decide which animal was praying. Mostly, I remember Sophie as calm, gentle, and generous with her time. A true gentlewoman.
