Dear Stanley,

My childhood friend, I am devastated to just now learn of your passing. I have spent the last ten years or so traveling the Pacific region, and I am now finding that so many of my childhood friends are gone. We met in 4th grade at Amelia Street School, and I looked up to you DAY ONE. You taught me to play chess, and also schooled me on how to turn the tables on the bullies. Your intelligence was unmatched.
