What a hoot Steve was! I was a Cadet at Midland PD in 1978 when we met. He always had a funny story and uplifting spirit. I don't know how we ever made it from Midland to Pecos in 55 minutes, but we did. DPS just pulled back into the median when Steve broadcast his radio number! Thats clout, "Well done God's true and faithful servant". We will be with Steve longer than without him. Thats a promise!

Steve sat in front of us at the First Baptist Church in Pecos. It seemed that the lights came on in the church when Steve arrived. His great sense of humor will be greatly missed.
