Not sure what to say?

S, you helped me thru a tough time in my life and I'd like to think I helped you. You were the man I waited for. I never knew love could feel this way. I miss you terribly. Four years was too short. I found one of your cards, yes, I feel the same about you. I love you more than life itself too. Love, G

Steven was the best thing that could have ever happened to my mom (Gail Howlett), I truly have never seen her so happy. He was an amazing man, full of wisdom, energy, and love. He helped me through hard times when i didn't believe in myself, and reminded me of what a strong person i am. Thank you for everything Steven, i miss you.

Stephen was truly a nice guy and a person worth knowing. He wasn't with us long enough.

Stephen somehow convinced me to get on his Harley. I really enjoyed his spirit and energy. I don´t know how many people would be able to dress me up in leather and get me to ride a motorcycle! I am sorry for Gail's loss. Life is such a fragile thing and the loss of love the hardest.

I'm so thankful my mom was able to meet and fall in love with such a nice, intelligent, unique, and funny man like Stephen. I can still remember going to The Red Pepper, and I think I might have only met him once before this, and I mentioned that I thought the waiter was cute. The next time the waiter came over, Stephen told him what I had said! and was trying to get his number for me! :) He knew life was too short to take too seriously. Thank you for touching my life and teaching me not...

Steve was my hero growing up. He paved the way for me (getting in trouble first; that way it wasn't so bad when I did the same thing...). I remember a time when I was in elementary school and was getting picked on by the neighborhood bully. All of a sudden Steve came flying over a wall and pounded that bully into the ground. My favorite quote from Steve, "Civility costs you nothing." My favorite memories: the beach fires in Santa Cruz with the "Gang".

Thank you Steve, for all the great times we had together and for introducing me to Janice. You were my best friend.

Through Steve I met and married my husband, John Wittenberg. For that, I will be forever grateful to him.

Way back when, we were just a gang of kids. Deborah, Steve, Burr, Christie, Bink, Buckwheat, George, Chris, Andy, John and myself. We shared many laughs and many adventures. I'm pretty sure we all thought we'd live forever

After many years of being out of touch, I'm glad we got a chance to reconnect. It was quite a gift. And I am so grateful that Steve had Gail in the...
