OMG I got a Christmas card back and today decided to check another way to find Steve. My son was a patient at Blythedale Children’s Hospital he became a great friend of my sons. Mind you my son TBI non verbal but Steve made him Michael laugh. We lived on Long Island unfortunately my son passed away too on June 31,2019 . We loved Steve and were grateful for his visits to Blythedale and to Long Island . God Bless

This was a special person. So much warmth in that guy, so much fun, so ready to tell or listen (closely!) to a story, the biggest, openest heart and a smile that would turn your day around. I only met Steve maybe 10-15x, but he packed an instant, awesome wallop that I will not forget and that I already miss.

He was a top-notch friend to my sister and brother-in-law a family member, really and though we are crushed by the loss, we know we're lucky to have had some time with this rare, true creature on this big spinning rock. Safe travels buddy, see you on the other side. ❤

Stephen made a speech 20+ years ago that said I was his hero. the truth is he was my hero I never got the opportunity to tell him the words but hoped he knew it. I will never be able to again in this world. don"t let the moments slip away. tell people how you feel . you never know when someone you love will go.
