Not sure what to say?

As a younger, second cousin to Steve and Scott Butterfield, I have fond memories of our childhood in Hutchinson, KS, where they grew up. I think about them both and decided to do a search. Saddened by this news, I'm thankful for the fond memories of Hutch and the good-looking, kind - hearted and accommodating cousins who tolerated and entertained, with grace and enthusiasm, their younger, starry- eyed cousin who could never decide which one she l loved the most. Rest in peace Steve. Hope to...

So sad to hear of Steve's passing. He had such a zest for life and was so fun to be around. Love you Steve!,,

I am heartbroken for Steve's family. I only met him briefly last summer when we bought the house next to Shelby and Steve's in McCall Idaho. I was looking forward to getting to know them better, everyone who knew them in McCall raved about what a wonderful guy and father Steve was. Shelby if there is anything I can do please let me know.
Fondly, Peggy & Paul Street

Steve was a great friend and an even greater human being. While he may be physically gone from this earth, his enormous footprints remain.

I will miss him.
