Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Celmer family. He was a great coach and I will always have fond memories of early morning training sessions running the streets of New Haven during the summer off-season. Rest in peace Coach Celmer

Condolences to Steve's family. He was a valued member of the Wallingford Chorus and selflessly blessed us all with his lovely personality and resonant tenor voice. He will be sorely missed. CL

Sending prayers to the Celmer Family and memories of lining the field for Track and field events. I´m sure Steve will be truly missed

Prayers to Steve's family on his passing. I was a classmate of his from 74 and remember him being a great athlete and all around nice guy. May he rest with the angels now

I was so saddened to hear Steve passed away. My condolences to the entire Celmer family. For many years Steve was my fellow seatmate in the tenor section of the GNHCC. His wit would always make me laugh. He would always give me the latest update about his Veronica, and at Christmas time I would get the latest picture of his daughter whom he loved beyond measure. Steve, I will miss you. If heaven has a chorus, I know you will be singing along. Rest in peace my friend. With love, Jay

Steve was a professional with his students and a friend and colleague to those of us that worked with him. His wit and wisdom will be missed by all.

Stephen will always be remembered fondly by myself as well as all of his former students at Platt Tech for his excellent teaching and patience with us. He has a beautiful singing voice and would often treat us with his music. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Saddened by this news, coached Track & Field with Coach Celmer for 3 yrs when I was in College. RIP Coach

I am incredibly grateful to have had Steve as my track coach back in 2005-2008. After a rough freshman year he convinced me to stay with it and later on helped me transition to distance running where I had a lot of success. I don´t know if I would be here today without the outlet track and field gave me and he played a huge roll in that. My deepest condolences to the Celmer family. RIP.
