I only heard about Steve's passing a few weeks ago whe I read about the passing of his Dad. Unlike most of the messages here, my memories of Steve go back to Sunset Ridge School where he an I were classmates from kidnergarten to 6th grade. We went to catechism class together. Everyone is right about Steve's personality as he was friendly as a kid and loved to laugh. I followed his career and knew about his toe and many field goals. He has left us far too soon.

I just recently heard of Steve's passing and it brings such sorrow. He was my boss, my mentor and friend while in Baltimore. I can still hear him singing New York New York one day at the office. Truly one of the smartest men I know. He is missed.

Steve, smooth eternal sailing my old friend.
I was shocked to see the notice of Steve's passing in the 'TAPS' listing in the CG Retirees newsletter. Much belated condolences to all his family and friends. My fault for not keeping contact with people after I retired and letting Alumni A'ssn lapse.

Boys sorry to hear of your loss. Was a good friend of your dads when he lived in Laurel Md. I have very good memories of your dad and both of you when you were younger.

I just heard, today, that Steve had died. He was our 3rd Party Examiner for many years on the GRAND VICTORIA II. Over the years, we developed a friendship, and I was hoping he would be in town, tomorrow, for the ABS inspection, but instead I sadly learned of a good friend's passing. My deepest sympathy to Steve's family, friends and all who loved him. God bless... and Rest in Peace old friend.
