Dear Jan,
I am very sad to hear about Steve's passing. He and I go way back a long way... to our grammer school days at St. Mary's. We shared alot of good memories as well as almost the same birthday, being born only a day apart. I will miss his enthusiasm for life, his stories and his laughter. May God bless you and allow you the peace to remember all of the good times and joy he brought to your life.

Katie, Jan, Bill, and the rest of the Cougill Clan:

I have been in absolute shock since hearing of the news of Steve's passing. My heart is emptied by the thought of knowing I will be missing my dear friend. It is filled, however, with many, many memories of your father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and so on.

Mine are most certainly fond and rich memories of fun, laughter, stories, experiences, brotherly love, San Jose State, Law School...

Dear Jan and Katie, This is such a sad time for you, for those who know you and all who knew your wonderful husband and dad. I know he was so special. I am so sorry, but I also know he leaves you with his love and wonderful memories. Please take care.
Love, Valerie
