Dear Jan,
I am very sad to hear about Steve's passing. He and I go way back a long way... to our grammer school days at St. Mary's. We shared alot of good memories as well as almost the same birthday, being born only a day apart. I will miss his enthusiasm for life, his stories and his laughter. May God bless you and allow you the peace to remember all of the good times and joy he brought to your life.

Katie, Jan, Bill, and the rest of the Cougill Clan:
I have been in absolute shock since hearing of the news of Steve's passing. My heart is emptied by the thought of knowing I will be missing my dear friend. It is filled, however, with many, many memories of your father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and so on.
Mine are most certainly fond and rich memories of fun, laughter, stories, experiences, brotherly love, San Jose State, Law School at Santa Clara U, of the practice of law, of his love for his wife, daughter, family.... and the list just goes on and on and on.
Regretably, I will miss Steven's final farewell. But I shall never say farewell to my wonderful memories of him. I am contented with the fact that this world of ours was blessed by God Himself when he created Steve and placed him here; too bad it was for such a short while.
Stephen, I love you brother! I am going to miss you.
Your friend and brother in Christ in eternity,
/Ron Beaman
