It's been said that we're not supposed to out-live our children. I can't imagine what you're going through now but may you find comfort in your memories of your son. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear the Dame family,
I just want you to know that you will never be alone. You have so many people who are hear to listen and help you out in any way they can. I will continue to pray that Steve will give you the strength to get from day to day. He was really a remarkable boy, and you should be proud to have brought someone so great into this world. Steve,
I just found out today that you lost your oldest son, Stephen. I still remember how excited you and Karen were to become parents. A lot of time has passed and we lost touch but I cannot put into words how sad and shocked I am. I wish I could have come to give my condolences in person. I didn't see Stephen grow up but I am sure he was the kindest and most respectful boy because he had great parents. My thoughts and prayers are with you,Karen and Christopher.

I never met Stephen but I too go to Suffolk and when i heard this i was in disbelief. I'm sure if i had met him I bet we would have been friends. All my condolences go out to the Dame family on their great loss

My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Dame Family and Stephen's closest friends. Stephen was a good person and he will certainly be missed.

Dear Karen, Steve & Christopher, It saddened me to learn of Steven's passing. We remember fondly the cookout at your home when Elvis fell into the pool and Steven helped him to safety. I remember how nice both of your sons were that day. We are so sorry for your loss and wish you comfort knowing you will see him again one day. Love Arleen, Bill & Elvis

I had the very good fortune of teaching Stephen in my English class this fall at Suffolk University. Stephen offered me great comfort the day before my surgery, which was the last time I spoke with him. He struck me as an exceedingly polite, gracious, and kind young man. As a student, he was highly motivated, disciplined, and fiercely intelligent. We spoke about hockey frequently, and he told me that he was looking forward to be skating again after his own surgery. His fellow students...
