Not sure what to say?

I did not know Steve Deutsch, but I sat next to him for countless hours as my sons played Judo with his boy Michael. I was not aware of Steve's job or his accomplishments, but I know one thing about him for certain. He loved that boy. Steve loved that child with his whole heart and was exceedingly proud of him. As he watched Michael working hard his heart was full of joy. I pray that Michael will remember those times with his father all his life and will continue to feel the deep and abiding...

Liz, Rachel and Michael, I knew your husband/dad for many years, even before you kids were born. You were the pride of his life. He was a ferocious prosecutor and a wonderful man with the driest sense of humor I've ever known. I love him for his professionalism and his love of and knowledge of the law. He will always be a winner in my book and Oklahoma County loses a lot because he's not here. Live your dreams!

Rachel,
I'm not sure if you remember me or not, but I was your P.E. teacher (Ms. Wiewel) at Villa Teresa. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember how excited you would get when your dad would come pick you up from school. Please know that I am praying for your family.

Dear Liz, Rachel and Michael,

We are so sorry for your great loss. You and your family are deeply in our thoughts and prayers. A law enforcement hero has been lost at such an early age. May GOD bring swift understanding and peace to you.

One of the God sent joys of my life and that of my family is having the honor of being a part of the early life of Frada and the boys. Frada and I were like brother and sister and the boys my nephews, but most of all loving friends. We love you Steve and will miss you. Frada, Liz and children, Larry, Davenie and son; my wife Eula and our children remain a part of your family and will continue to love and support you with our prayers and respect. You just call out my name and I'll come running.

Still so hard to believe. He was definitely one of a kind. An ethical and incredibly strong opponent. A prosecutor that really believed in what he was doing for the State of Oklahoma, but never took things personally. There were so many others who had so much more to learn from him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Liz, Rachel and Michael.

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Deutsch this fall when I served as a jury member on one of his cases. I am sad to hear about his passing and will pray for his wife and children.
