Not sure what to say?

Sister Featherstone, I have loved you, your dear husband, and your sons since we first met you in the Clarksville Ward. I hope you´re doing well. Thank you for all you meant to me as my pals´ mom and a member of our ward. Blessings to you and to all the Featherstone. Lance

When we lived in Tennessee and Brother Featherstone was stationed at Ft. Campbell, he sometimes taught our Sunday School class. Brother Featherstone told us stories about how, when he was a helicopter commander in Vietnam, he always prayed for his men. He told us of his many answered prayers and gave personal accounts of how his faith sustained him. Even after I was grown up and Kevin and I were friends as young men, Brother Featherstone still gave me fatherly advice and encouraged me,...

I can hardly express how much I loved and appreciated this dear, good man. A man of God. A man to be admired. A role model to emulate.

I loved and trusted Brother Featherstone like he was my own dad. As a young man hanging around with Kevin and Darin, Brother Featherstone was always kind to me and trusted me. He even trusted me to drive his new VW Bug one time so Kevin and I could go to a stake dance. I felt ten feet tall being trusted that way. I loved hearing Brother Featherstone teach the gospel. I loved the example he set. What a great, generous, godly man.

I absolutely loved Brother Featherstone. He taught us boys in Aaronic Priesthood many years ago. We knew he'd been in Vietnam and we would frequently try to get him to tell war stories. He was never one to brag but the things he told us were amazing and they were always spiritual. After we were grown Brother Featherstone still set an example for us. In my eyes, he'll always be ten feet tall.

Dear EvaLu, We send our sympathy to you at Steve's passing. Haven't seen you since you moved out of the ward but have fond memories of you and Steve. Hope you are doing well - you were always so energetic and full of fun ideas. Bill and RaNae Davis
