Not sure what to say?

Stephen and I worked together on The Today Show and a day never went by that we did not laugh together. He was funny. He was also one of the few people who always called me by my full name as if it were one name--always Ray Smith. "What did you think of that movie, Ray Smith?" he'd ask. I'm glad I remember his smile.

I was fortunate to work with Stephen at NBC as part of a camera crew. He was delightful to work with. I was so disappointed when he went to CNN!!!

In a world where 'class acts' are in short supply Stephen was certainly that. I worked with him at NBC News. There were a lot of oversized ego's there and he did not have one... He was funny, friendly, a true professional and existentially fair and decent. In the news racket, that's saying a lot. My condolences to his family and close friends.

I'm so sorry to hear of Stephen's passing. I worked with him at HeadlineNews and there were few people I liked working with more. He was a true professional on air and behind the scenes. I can only imagine your sadness and hope that you and the family can be comforted by all your memories with this amazing man. You were...

Dear Cindy, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Steve. Sending you love, keeping you and your family in my prayers.

Cindy, I´m so sorry to learn of Steve´s passing. I remember him well from our Barrington days- a decent human being, just as I remember you. May joyous memories accompany your grief.

Dear Cindy, My heart aches for your loss. I think of you often and am sending you love. Helen (Plichta) Switzer
