Mr. And Mrs Gerber, loved ones, and friends of Stephen A. Gerber, I am terribly sorry for your loss. I just came across this page by accident and am heart sick to have found it. Stephen and I never met in person, but we exchanged phone calls and emails due to sort through name mix ups in various Army systems as well as occasional phone calls when those mix ups were time sensitive (approving the requests of soldiers either one of us commanded, medical record mix ups due to common conditions...

Dear Gerry and Elaine and Jason and family (cats included). This Lolly (Jesionek) Mazanec in Denver. I have been looking for you for a long time. I found old letters, I found your address in Chardon, OH. The last letters I have are from 1996. I am saddened by the loss of your son, Stephen. So many memories shared. I will reach out to the last known address I have for you.

Steve was my team leader at West Point, when he was a sophomore and I was a freshman. He truly was the kindest person. I remember him fondly. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry to hear of Stevens passing. I went to school with him at chardon. He was always so sweet and kind to everyone! He always made everyone smile. He will be missed but heaven gained a beautiful angel. God bless you all!

God Bless you and your family, Brother. I never personaly knew you in high school and was unaware of your enlistment, we enlisted and retired almost the same time. Though we may have never formally met while serving, you will forever be my brother. Until we meet in the service of our Lord, may you be at ease and rest in peace.
