This is the Atkins family in 1976 I John am the one being held by my older brother Donald we both knew Steve I was closer than Donald to him . It´s been 15 years since his passing and I think of him a lot after all we were like brothers at one time I was away when he passed and it devistated me. He is missed by many. Steve I´ll see u soon enough brother

I too was a friend of Stephen Hines. Our group included, myself, Brian Eason, Chris Novak. I definitely remember him. Life is so very short, fragile & NEVER forget--"Precious". Love is our answer to grief and loss.❤

I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I was one of Stephen's teachers while he was in middle school. He always had a good head on his shoulders and a smile on his face. More recently, I had a yard crew at my home in Smithfield. Stephen came to my front door to ask if I remembered him. Of course, I did remember him and I was thrilled to see him again. I will always remember "Stevie" as the little blond haired boy growing up in VG. Always wanted to hang out with the big kids. You will be missed "Stevie".
