To the family of Stephen Hines,
I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I was one of Stephen's teachers while he was in middle school. He always had a good head on his shoulders and a smile on his face. More recently, I had a yard crew at my home in Smithfield. Stephen came to my front door to ask if I remembered him. Of course, I did remember him and I was thrilled to see him again. We had a wonderful time chatting and getting caught up. I introduced him to my middle-school aged son and we laughed about how we'd come full circle. I can only imagine the pain you are going through and I pray that you will be comforted by the fact that not only was Stephen an awesome kid, but a very impressive young man as an adult. Stephen was not a person who, once you met him, could easily be forgotten. I am so very glad I had the opportunity to know him. Please accept my sincere condolences.
