Not sure what to say?

As a young sophomore at Anderson High School I had the privilege of playing basketball and baseball with Steve. His hard work and determination provided a valuable lesson for me. His inspiration in athletics and life was a blessing I treasure.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Steve. Our prayers are with your family at this time of sadness. I graduated from AHS with Steve. My husband met him at a Sigma Chi rush function at BSU. We will always remember his kindness and that great smile!

My thoughts and prayers are with Steves family! I graduated with Steve from AHS in 1967 and he was a good friend and great basketball player. The AHS class of 1967 has lost another great friend! RIP Steve!

I don't believe I had seen Steve since Anderson High in 1967. My sympathies go to the family. It saddens me to learn Steve may have been close to retirement at the time of his passing. The family shall be in the thoughts and prayers of many in Anderson.

Sandy. I am so sorry. Know that we are all here for you. I cannot express how much I miss Steve nor the impact he had on me. He changed how I look at life. I admired his always positive, "don't sweat the small stuff..and it's all small stuff" attitude and that I never heard a negative word from him. I am so very grateful to have known him and won't forget him.
What a legacy Mr. "Wonderful" left behind!

My condolences to Steve's family and friends! He was definitely one of the good guys!

Sandy,
Just got a phone call from Stan Owens telling Jane and I about your loss. Our prayers, condolences and love go out to you.

Steve was my step-father, and he taught me about how to live life with joy. Rarely was there a moment that he wasn't smiling or speaking a positive word. My husband and I called him Mr. Wonderful because when we asked him how he was doing--his most common response was "I'm Wonderful!". His love and positivity will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Sandy, so sorry to hear of your loss. Steve was a great guy and we will cherish our memories.
