Steve ~ I will miss you!
Over the years we've had good times and bad times, but through them all ,we became the best of friends.
I won't ever forget your caring nature, your smile and the way you made me laugh, I will cherish the fond memories for the rest of my life.It will be difficult for all of us that loved you ~ living everyday without you in our lives, because you touched every person you've ever known in a special way. I know that I am a better person because of it. I thank God...

My deep condolences, thoughts and prayers to the Lato family.
Steve and I kept in touch and remained friends despite being miles apart. I was in St Louis earlier this month and we were able to get together for a visit. We shared some pictures while he took a break from fixing up his new house. He spoke with pride of all his childern. The success of Robbie and Kaytln and future of Savanna. He left us all too soon and will be missed.

Kaylyn and Todd,
All of my sympathy and best wishes to you and your families during this time. I met your dad and had a very nice conversation with him the night of your wedding. He was a very nice, friendly guy, and I wish I would have gotten another opportunity to spend some time getting to know him more. God bless you all.

Even though it has been many years since I have seen Steve, I will always fondly remember him as my awesome friend from high school. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Steve's family and dear friends.

I knew Steve from high school, first time I met Steve I thought he came off a little cocky ( go figure ) we became good friends soon after that. Steve even got me a job at Immerfrost skating rink. I was back visiting family in St.Louis a few weeks ago and was able to catch up on some stories with Steve from high school. He even brought up a couple of our wild nights out ending up at my house in my basement room that I had even forgotten. He also told me about what was going on in his life...

Lato will always be in our hearts and many memories. As stubborn as a mule but such a giving heart and kind man. He is a man who has touched many lives. We will miss his laughs, advice and smile but hold those memories in our heart forever. The Papa's gang is going to miss him dearly. Endless thoughts and prayers to all who he touched and touched him in return.

Barbara--Michael and I want to express our deepest sympathy. We have fond memories of both you and Steven here in the country, along with your grandparents and mom and dad. He was such a fun person to be around. May God bless you and your family and remember that we do love you and care.Jodie Donati

Steve, you were a father figure, mentor, and friend for me. You took my family in as your own and always made me feel a part of yours. You showed me the meaning of respect, and hard work as well as never cutting corners is only way to make it anywhere in life. I know you and Papa will be watching over us all! I am truly grateful for all the memories, talks, and time you and I spent together! Kaylyn, Robbie, Sahvanna, and the rest of the family may God watch over you all!I love you Steve

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Todd and Kaylyn. It's so very hard to lose the people that we love. Kaylyn we only met your dad once, but found him to be so personable and a great individual. Please know we are thinking about you and your family.
