Read MoreI knew Steve as a gracious man and a lovely actor, first meeting him at the Yale School of Drama from 1970-73, and running into him occasionally in Los Angeles over the years. Sorry to learn this. Stephen and I once won the Laurel Beach tennis tournament men's doubles together. Saw him at Long Wharf Theater in A View from the Bridge...watched him in Snap Shot with Paul Newman. He was a good actor, a good athlete, and a good guyl
