Not sure what to say?

Remembering all the fun times we all had in Carpinteria. He will always be remembered.

Dearest Joycie, Becca, Rachie, and JerBear (all names in the neighborhood in the late 60's)~
I was so sad recieving your note, Joycie, about losing your Stephen. What a wonderful man he was. My family has many fond memories of The Resniks and The Somis Nut House (even when it was a walnut shelling plant). I remember Stephen mulching your flower beds with walnut shells!
You kids are so lucky to have him as your dad. You are shining reflections of him. And what a great love he had...

Joyce and children
Such a sad time for you also. Steve was a dear man --gracious, well liked by Red and myself. My heart is with you all. God bless.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Steve first hand; it was only a brief nine years ago that I became acquainted with Joyce when she took an art class I was teaching at a retreat in Port Townsend, Washington. Through the years, Joyce and I have grown very close, and she has always spoken with great love and admiration about a husband to whom she was devoted and married for all those years. How often do you hear of that, these days? Love conquered so much for Joyce, and she adored Steve...
