It is hard to believe it has been 6 years. Steve was a good man. It was an honor to have served with him in Vietnam. I hope his family is doing well.

Our thoughts are with you, may your family feel comfort during this extreme challenge. Steve was a genuine caring and courageous Soldier. We miss you Brother. We honor your memory, your life, the men of D Company, 1st Bn. 8th Cav Rgt., 1st Air Cavalry Division, Vietnam.

I met Steve thru my husband Hank (Henry James) who they both claimed were best friends since 2nd grade. To know Steve was to love him. I will never forget when he and Lana came to our wedding and Steve asked me "So who did you marry?" My answer was Huh? He asked me again and said did you marry Marvin or Henry or Hank? which one? I just pointed to Hank and said Him! we laughed about that many times. when we had lunch last year at Hills Café, I called my husband Hank and then Steve called him...

Please except my condolences. I am very sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time. Lean on Him for support through prayer and reading his word the Bible daily.

Steven and I were very close friends from the 2nd grade on. I loved you like a brother and will miss you greatly. So many times we emailed saying lets get together but we kept putting it off and didn't see each other that much. Our last time was lunch at Hills Café. RIP Steve. Some day we will see each other again in Heaven. I love you
Henry James

To Steve's family. Maggie, I, and all his veteran friends offer our thoughts and prayers. Steve was a thoughtful person, and a good friend with a good sense of humor. He will be missed.
