Not sure what to say?

I miss you Stephen, I still think of you often! You touched so many lives and I was one of them!

Steve, I will hold you in my heart forever. Until we meet again...

A race that lives on

Thank you to all those who've expressed the special wonder of this man. Even though I mostly learned from Steve as a student, when it appeared he accepted a Chair position at University of Hawai`i at Hilo, Steve was there for me in to support me as a new faculty member. I am sharing a few of his letters I believe are representative of the way he inspired hundreds of students in geriatrics, mentored dozens of residents, and enlightened thousands of colleagues during his career during local,...

We all loved you, Dr. Setter. It is hard to find words...

Yvonne Huckleberry

I heard the sad news of Steve's passing and wanted to share my sympathy. I had the honor of working with Dr. Setter on one of my pharmacy rotations in Spokane. While working with him at Elder Services, he encouraged me to write a paper, which he helped edit and get published. I will keep the entire family in my prayers....what a gem he was!

Steve, you are loved by so many people; so many students, colleagues, family members and friends. Thank you for being a friend to me and taking so much time to help when my mother had cancer. Even though there were days I am sure you were tired, you stayed by her side and brought a sense of calmness to my family. God bless you and your family.

You touched so many people in your life. Thank you for all you did for those who were lucky enough to have met you. You will be remembered by all.

What a tremendous loss. Thank you Dr. Setter for being such a great professor and preceptor; your passion for your patients was a wonderful example for all of us. Our prayers are with your family. You will be greatly missed.

May the memories of Steven put a smile on your heart. Our prayers & love to Courtney & McKenzie, Aunt Shirley, Uncle Tommy, Mary, Mike, Barb, Michele & Karen
