Not sure what to say?

Steve was a wonderful loving step brother. I will miss him, his infectious laugh and smile. What a giving heart rest in peace. Love, Marlena Main-Harrick xxoo

The Memorial service for Steve Shortridge was beautiful. The family all participated and you knew that Steve was well loved and appreciated during his wonderful 63 years. His mother read a beautiful tribute to him at a luncheon following and it was so touching that there were few dry eyes. His brothers and sister made everyone feel so very welcome. The picture display was special and the Catholic Mass and music brought the closure to Steve's life that was perfect. I was happy to learn...

Steve is my Sig Ep Brother and one of my closest friends. We all miss Steve's wonderful smile, his loving spirit, and calm reaction to any situation. He never had a bad word to say about anyone because he saw the best in others. We all loved Steve because there was never a doubt that he loved us. Time and space prevent listing all the great memories I have of him.

Steve was one of my best and forever friends, starting even before the River House in Indy. I helped him learn the game, teach the game, and love the game. Many hours teaching clinics and classes together. Sharing Chicken Chow Mien in San Francisco, to hiking the Grand Canyon. i was lucky enough to speak with Steve just days before he passed. Sorry i am unable to attend. Rest in peace my friend.

Steve was the most wonderful man I have ever known. My comfort and blessing is that he knew how much I loved him when he passed. He was so proud of Summer and Ridge. My heart goes out to them. Suzanne 'Tudie' Welch

Although I knew Steve simply as a tournament opponent with superior abilities to mine, it hit me hard when I heard the news from Vicky. I think it was a combination of feeling the loss of a truly good person on this planet, and the regret that I didn't get to know him better. His positive attitude and sportsmanship will live on. I'm so sorry for those who were close to him, as they'll need much time to heal.

Lynn, please accept our deepest condolences.

I will miss Steve tremendously! He was such a good friend, always smiling and upbeat! Besides sharing a passion for tennis, we also shared a love of cats and baseball. There are so many great memories - whether it was his never-ending patience over the years trying to teach me to play net; or hanging out with Pete, his scruffy white & orange tabby at the Oasis; or dragging his baseball glove to the Sox games to save us all from the line drives, it was always a fun and happy time with...

Steve was without a doubt one of the kindest people I have ever met. Just seeing him brought a smile to my face. His humble and fun nature made the world a kinder place. He will be missed! I join the many other Colonial Club tennis players in condolences to Steve's family and loving friends.
