Not sure what to say?

It is that time of year and I will root for San Francisco when they are are not playing Colorado. Pray everyone is doing fine after losing such a great person.

I was completely shocked to hear of your loss and such a great friend of mine. I still remember when Steve, Chuck Petersen, and I did a road trip to Charleston to meet a bunch of guts and go to the Masters practice rounds and then back to watch the Masterson the weekend. We were there for golf and the Masters. It was a great trip and will always remember. He was such a great ball player and that made him beat me many times in golf. Sorry we can not be there for the service. God Bless...

Dearest Sara -- many of Steve's classmates have commented on the 1968 Westside High School Omaha Facebook page. If you would like to read them, please send a friend request to that page. I'm sure you know how much our class admired and loved Steve. He was always kind, inclusive, humble, and a great leader. A real prince.

I so enjoyed my interactions with Steve over many years. My deepest sympathies to Sara and the entire family.

My deepest sympathies to the Achelpohls, especially Joe and Sam´s families. Steve had such a warm, kind, and witty demeanor. I truly enjoyed being in his presence. Peace be with you all.

So sorry to hear of his passing. Such energy and such joy. And always loved "singin in the rain" Never miss a chance to sing or dance

I will always remember Steve as a loving, supportive father to all his children and as a caring friend. May angels carry you home my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Steve. I have fond memories of him when growing up playing soccer with Joe and Sam. My sincerest condolences.

I am so very sorry. Steve was a very dear friend of our family and we will miss him dearly. We had many good times and memories with Steve. Rest In Peace Steve
