Not sure what to say?

Fine fine gentleman!!! Knew him briefly many years ago.....

Steve and I used to have lunch together every Thursday. He was Jewish, Democrat, U of L fan. I am Christian, Republican, U of K fan. We agreed only on the fact that both of us were conservative fiscally!! We often discussed religion, politics, and sports---almost never agreeing on anything, but always willing to listen to the other point of view---and even occasionally learning something from the other. I loved Steve, and still miss him. The world was a better place when he was...

A True Gentleman and Friend We miss you Buddy

It is hard to believe it has been 9 years since Steve passed. I still miss him and the lunches we enjoyed together. We would have had some very interesting conversations about the state of the country during these 9 years!!! I miss you, my friend!! Mike Harris

We constantly talked politics, religion, and sports---rarely agreed on anything (except when we talked fiscal issues--we were both conservative on that), but NEVER disparaged each other or our ideas, and NEVER got angry with each other. I learned a lot from...

Remembering Dr Auslander fondly and always appreciated his gentle and calming manner as my dentist in Bardstown when I was a young girl. God bless,
Judith Lund (daughter of Hugh and Juanita Kirtley)

Steve Auslander was the father of my college roommate, Sheila. Sheila was lucky to have such a father! As Sheila's friend, I benefited from his abundant humor and good fatherly advice. My life is the better for having known Sheila's dad, Steve. I will never forget his kindness, joy-filled humor, excellent social graces, the attitude of calm he brought to even trying tasks such as moving Sheila out of a college apartment, and last but not least, his charming southern accent.

As Dr. Steve always said to me as I departed his office, "Shalom!" He was a remarkable and humble man. Let us think about what he taught us. Shalom!
