Not sure what to say?

Our heartfelt sympathy to the family and relatives of Steve. He was a fine upstanding person, and respected by all, both for his talents in the medical field, as well as his character in private life.

Rachel and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Grace, Marie, Rachel, Seth, Sam, Ben, and Rosie, I want to let you know that my thoughts are with you. Grace, you know that I am here for you always, no matter the distance between us.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Caplan as his office nurse for a few years when he was at the Medical Clinic of Houston. He was a doctor of healing and had tremendous religous faith. I witnessed that personally when I was invited to attend Sam's bris. He will be missed.

I am shocked to find out about Steve. We carpooled together, played in All City together, davened together at both UOS and Beth Yeshurun Chapel. He was a bright, caring, very funny person who truly loved his family and was proud of being Jewish. May his memory always be for a blessing and may G-d comfort you on his loss.

I was shocked and very sad to learn of Steve's passing. Steve was the first drummer in our junior high school rock and roll band. From time to time I would see him in the context of our subsequent life in the medical profession. I will always remember him as a very dear person, always smiling with a very positive outlook on life. Although I didn't know his children, I heard him speak of them with a great passion. His life was a great example to us all, and I will always remember him with...

I knew Steve as a wonderful father to six beautiful children. I spent a lot of time in the Caplan house only with the best memories that I will hold dear to me forever. I want to extend my sincere condolences to the family. My prayers are with you all. Rachel, please know that I am here for you especially. I am having trouble getting your number and want to speak with you more than anything. I only hope this reaches you so that I can be there.

Our Dear Rachel, Seth, Grace, Ben and Sam - Although we did not have a chance to meet your Dad, we know that he left all his goodness in you, his kids, as each of you is blessed with much beauty and intellect. We share your deep sadness at his loss and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

To the entire Caplan family~
I was so very sorry to hear about Steve's death. There are truly no words to express the sadness I feel. Please know that he was an important part of my youth and I will always remember him with affection. I hope and pray that in time, you find comfort and solace in all that was good in him. May he rest in peace now and forever.
