Not sure what to say?

I met Stephen about 35 years ago through Mayor Mary Moran´s campaign and we´ve been good friends since. He was a remarkable, smart, witty, funny, kind, helpful, gentle man and will be missed. My condolences to his mom, Marilyn and brother Joel. Please know he was so well regarded, respected, and loved. I will miss him terribly! Rest in Peace, my dear long-time friend. As I always said after our conversations: "Still love you and miss you, Stephen!" Namaste´

I worked with Steven and can't say I knew him personally but it felt like I did. He had a genuine interest in people. A great sense of humor, wit. To the Auerbach family, I'm sorry for your loss.

Steven Leslie Auerbach had an anointed gift for cooking. You couldn´t pay or teach anyone to have the sense that Steven was born with. He was a natural. And he also had it for gardening with flowers and herbs that he used regularly in his cooking. His plantings were gorgeous and healthy. I love you Steven. You are unforgettable and will always be a big part of me to my core. Good bye my dear dear friend. Your spirit is in my heart forever

To the Auerbach Family, so sorry for your loss. I met Steven working for Mary Moran and he was always helping people for all the time that I've known him. He was always bragging about the love he had for his mother and the City of Bridgeport. I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend. Kevin Monks

I went to Southern with Steve. He always had a sense if humor. We took a trip to California and had a good time. We also took the Ferry to Port Jefferson. He will be missed.

Condolences to Steve's family. I knew him at Central and he took me to my senior prom, Class of 74. He was a great dancer and a genuinely great guy. May he RIP.

Steven was devoted to life. I will remember him for his enthusiasm, his love of family, friends, and acquaintances. His memory inspires me to live with exuberance.

Steve was an amazing person and friend and son! May his memory be a blessing and dancing in heaven.
