Steven (Steve) Bass

I knew Steve from Eastminster Pres. He was a faithful and encouraging brother in the Lord. During his challenges with his heart condition (and the occasional Tennessee Vols football loss), I never once heard him complain. He was a role model for the word "steadfast." Now he rests in peace and my memories of him encourage me still.

Steve was a genuinely good guy. I first met him at Weatherstone tennis, where he was consistently friendly and in good spirits. He always had a good time, no matter what. He was ready to hear or share a good story, especially a funny one. Steve never failed to do his part and then some, helping organize tennis and pickleball games. My first experience with Steve was remodeling his Marietta home after he had inherited it. After that, I did many more projects for Steve throughout the years. It never felt like business with Steve, it just felt like I was working on my buddies house. I´ve always described Steve as the best customer I´ve ever had. We enjoyed having Steve as our neighbor for the last few years especially as we hunkered down during the pandemic, sharing stories, and having a laugh during uncertain times. He had a great sense of humor and was always kind and respectful toward others. Steve had a realistic view of life and took its challenges in stride with grace and gratitude, He will be sorely missed. Rest well, my friend. Keith Peters & Michael Fleming
