Not sure what to say?

I'm just finding out my good friend is gone, I remember those bdays on Woodward, and beyond, in life, I'm so sorry for the family, I'll miss him sadly.

So many great memories shared at City Hall and chats even of your friendship with my departed son Dante'! You rest now Dear Steve and know you were loved by many who worked with you!

My mom just told me about Steve's passing. I'm so sorry to hear about this. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Kenny, Jeanetter, Dave and Dan,

I am so sorry for your loss.

We had passed the proverbial note asking to check "yes" or "no" to the "do you like me?" question. Then, as typical for the time, Steve and I hung out together the only way 5th graders did back then...on the playground at recess laughing and chasing each other...
