Not sure what to say?

We came across this story by accident just now, and we are in shock. Sincerest condolences to Heidi and the family. Another W.T. Woodson grad to make the most out of life and pass way to soon.

Heidi - I was sorry to learn about Steve´s passing through the front page article in the Lynchburg News and Advance. He was a great guy. My thoughts and condolences are with you and your family. Bob Barlow

Our thoughts are with Heidi and family. We appreciate what Steve and Heidi have done for Nellysford and Nelson County. We will miss Steve's smile and his love for nature and family.

Deepest heartfelt condolences for Heidi, Britt, Justin, Mallory and the entire family Steve so adored. Steve leaves a wake of legacies that we can remember and smile to often, while the sorrow is deep. An honor to have known Steve. Much love and support for his family.

I will always be thankful for the time I got to work with and near him. What a legacy to leave behind! Lots of love to Heidi, Brittany and family.

I am so very sorry and heartbroken to hear of Steve's passing. He was such a kind, funny, and generous man who made a huge impact on the world. May you find comfort and peace. Many blessings to the family and good journey to Steve. He will always be remembered.

Our hearts go out to you guys... much love to all.... we are so sorry...

My sincerest condolences to those in the Crandall family. He was a special person and one that will be missed. Like others, I have fond memories that I hold dear including those from our early days in Fairfax (Mantua), VA. Prayers that we keep his love of the outdoors and others in our hearts.
