I had the great fortune of meeting Steve at the 1976 Olympic Trials. We both made that O team. From that time forward, we were friends, National Teams together. Steve was the guy that was so positive and such a professional approach in everthing...His humor was outstanding, his stories the best, his love of LIFE...ENORMOUS, his love for Jennifer to the moon and beyond. We will miss him greatly...Rest now Steve, in Eternal Peace.

Steve was my brother-in-law. I always enjoyed his company, was in awe of his athletic achievements, and thought a great deal of him. What I found most impressive was his dedication to the mission of his nonprofit organization that advocated for adults suffering incontinence. Steve put his best in everything he did, and that means something. We will miss you, Steve! Our sincere condolences, Jennifer.

I knew Steven from his work at NAFC. He was a tireless supporter and amazing advocate for the folks with incontinence and their loved ones. Humble and impactful, he will be missed

It's shocking to me to realize that the last time I saw him at AUA was the last time I would see him. My heart goes out to you and the rest of...

Steve was a funny, and supportive colleague at Cal. We worked together in room 63 for many hours between training and surgeries. Steve was always generous with his time to tutor a rookie swimmer. He was a good man.
