Dear Grunberg Family,
I am the widower of Linda Bek Drewry, whom Dr. Grunberg treated at Norris Cancer Center in Los Angeles in 1991-1992. I have often thought about Dr. Grunberg since those difficult times. I remember him as a wonderful person and great doctor. He was very thoughtful, compassionate, and supportive. I am very sorry to read about his passing and hope that his family is doing well under the circumstances.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences. I only just learned belatedly of his death this past weekend at an oncology conference. I was shocked. I knew Steve professionally for nearly 20 years. He was an authentic and deeply caring individual. The oncology community of Vermont and of the entire nation has lost a true "tzaddik."

How very sad I am to hear of Steve's passing. Though it has been years since I had contact with Steve, everyone has spoken so very highly of him and his dedication to his profession, my Dad especially.

Dr, Grunberg took care of my daughter, Esther Ellsworth Miller, who died of lung cancer in Jan 2013. She loved him and the rest of the family did too. We are all so sad to hear of his death. What a loss.
