My deepest sympathy to Steve's family. I was a school chum of Steve back when we were at Daniel Webster Junior High, and Venice High. For a couple of years he invited me over for sleep-overs at his parents place near Palms and Grandview. I lived around the corner on Lawler St. We were 14, 15 years old.
